Towards an inclusive disability media representation:

Training workshops for media stations and media educational programs at Lebanese universities.

About the workshop:

The Disability Hub of the Centre for Lebanese Studies at the Lebanese American University cordially invites media stations, TV reporters, producers, journalists, staff with and without disabilities from local and international organizations, as well as faculty and students with and without disabilities from university media communication programs in Lebanon to attend two free-of-charge training workshops about inclusive media.

The two workshops will be delivered by Inclusive and Disability specialists with and without disabilities and will cover different matters related to disability based on the principles of inclusion and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities CRPD. The training focuses on the use of appropriate terminology and the production of inclusive audio-visual media content that is accessible for a diverse audience including people with disabilities.

Each workshop is delivered over 2 days (4 hours per day) with a capacity of 20 participants per workshop. Those who complete the two workshops will receive a certificate for completion from the Centre for Lebanese Studies at the Lebanese American University.
