A Consultation Workshop was organized by the Centre for Lebanese Studies at the Lebanese American University for a group of academics and representatives of NGOs, to develop the main recommendations in terms of inclusive education that will be addressed to the Center for Educational Research and Development CERD for the new curriculum strategy. The participants discussed the problems and the barriers preventing children with disabilities from attending schools, including public schools.
The Centre paused sending these recommendations given that the CERD and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s top concern is dealing with education during the COVID-19 pandemic.
