Main Idea or Research Questions:
Mental disorders are believed to account for a large portion of disease burden worldwide. However, nonational studies have been undertaken to assess this assumption in the Arab world. The primary goal of this work was to produce nationally representative data for prevalence, correlates, and treatment of mental disorders to raise awareness about mental Illness and to influence health-care policy in Arab Countries.
