Autism is a universal problem, yet, publishing from the Middle East in this field has been particularly rare. In this chapter, data on the magnitude of the problem, research conducted in this field, and services provided for autistic patients and their families in the Arab world will be highlighted with special focus on cultural and economic characteristics of the region and its impact on Autism.
