On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we highlight the significant impact of the Israeli war in Lebanon on the humanitarian conditions of the persons with disabilities,from the loss of livelihoods to the deprivation of essential services and the lack of accessible displacement shelters that meet their needs.
We salute the resilience of the persons with disabilities who endured bombing and displacement during the Israeli aggression on Lebanon. We call for enhancing their inclusion in humanitarian efforts in line with Article 11 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
