حماية الحقوق ومنع التجريح في استعمال الكلام الصحيح

(A Disability Hub and UNRWA joint Campaign)

The Campaign highlights the importance of using rights-based language when talking about or describing persons with disabilities through 7 short videos. The Campaign demonstrates the impact of the language used to describe a person with disability, which can reinforce stereotypes and lead to discrimination against persons with disabilities.

The videos, which focus on rights-based terminology and inclusive language, aim to promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities in society through addressing discrimination and stereotypes. It is an essential part of disability inclusion which seeks to enhance access to services, access to information, and ultimately the removal of communication, institutional, physical and attitudinal barriers. This is particularly relevant for refugees, including Palestine refugees who face layers of discrimination and marginalization from different aspects of society.
